Worcester Grand Jury Indicted Two Men For Homicide Of 17-Year-Old Nawar Jabbar

On Friday a Grand Jury indicted Messiah Amankwa, 18, of 7A Gibbs St. and Diomar Lopez Carrasco 23, of 36 Cherry St., Apt. 1E, Spencer.

Amankwa. is charged with murder and carrying a firearm without a license. Carrasco is charged with accessory after the fact of murder.

Amankwa and Carrasco were both arrested in November 2020, as the result of an investigation by the Worcester Police in connection with the homicide of 17-year-old Nawar Jabbar.

On October 24th, 2020 around 8:36 p.m., officers with the Worcester Police Department Operations Division responded to the Wendy’s at 500 Park Ave for a report of gunshots.

Upon arrival, officers located Nawar Jabbar shot in the parking lot and he was pronounced deceased on scene.
