Worcester Police Arrest Suspect In John Street Shooting Of Two Men

On Saturday night, Worcester Police responded to the area of John St for a report of a ShotSpotter activation. As officers responded to the call they were informed by dispatchers that three were shots fired and that there was a fight in the area.

Upon arrival officers located two males who had been shot. Both males were taken to an area hospital to be treated.

A second male, who was not shot was taken to an area hospital for blunt force trauma.

Worcester Police in a statement said, “That a male had taken out a firearm and shot the two victims during a physical confrontation.

While detectives were investigating what happened, they were informed that a male identified as Troy Morvan, 25, of Litchfield St, showed up at an area hospital with injuries consistent with having been in a confrontation.

Worcester police said, “Probable cause for the arrest of Mr. Morvan for two counts of Armed Assault to Murder, Use of a Firearm while Commiting a Felony, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, and Discharge of a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling. Mr. Morvan did not have a license to carry firearms. He was placed under arrest and will be arraigned in court.”
