Around 4 inches of snow might fall in the hills of Worcester by 8 p.m.
We've issued a First Alert for a snowy disaster that's heading into New England this morning. Everything from all snow in the northwest and mountains to all rain in the southeast, and everything in between.
Overnight, snow showers have been falling across far northern and western New England. Along with the frigid air, the snow is moving southeast this morning. It's raining in Boston from around 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Between 3-5 p.m., there will be a light mix of snow and rain. Then, about 5-6 p.m., there was a brief deposit of snow coats that dried off around 6 p.m. Rain is expected in Worcester and Fitchburg until 1 p.m.
Then there was wet and heavy textured snow, with 1-3 inches of snow accumulation until 8 p.m.
Around 4 inches of snow might fall in the hills. By 8 p.m., all precipitation has left the area, and it has turned quite cold.
Around 2 inches of snow across Route 2, southern New Hampshire, Worcester, Hartford.
Around 3-4 inches in some of the Worcester Hills, around 4-6 inches across western Massachusetts, central New Hampshire, Vermont and interior Maine. 6-12 inches depending on elevation for the northern Green Mountains, White Mountains and northern Maine.
