WPD Press Release: OFFICERS CATCH SUSPECTS IN STRING OF COMMERCIAL BREAK-INS

On Tuesday, January 19, 2022 at approximately 11:36 PM Worcester Police were dispatched to the Fiddler’s Green Pub located at 19 Temple Street for a commercial alarm. Upon arrival, officers observed shattered glass at the entrance way. During the investigation, officer learned through surveillance video that two male suspects stole several bottles of alcohol.

On Wednesday, January 20, 2022 at approximately 2:42 AM officers were dispatched to the No Name Grocery store located at 49 Vernon Street for an attempted breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers observed glass on the entrance completely shattered. After review of surveillance video, it appeared that the two suspects were the same males from the incident at the Fiddler’s Green Pub.

At approximately 3:05 AM another commercial alarm was reported at North East Electrical located at 632 Cambridge Street. Officers again observed that the front entrance was shattered. As additional officers responded to the call they saw two males walking on Millbury Street, fitting the exact description of the earlier break ins. The men were carrying supplies from the electrical store.

Alexander Deayala, 44, of 8 Elm Street, Leominster, was charged with three counts of willful and malicious destruction of property, three county of breaking and entering into a building during the nighttime with intent to commit a felony and two counts of larceny from a building.

Lawrence Gaul, 41, of 12 Bryon Street, Apt 3, Worcester was charged with three counts of willful and malicious destruction of property, three county of breaking and entering into a building during the nighttime with intent to commit a felony and two counts of larceny from a building.
