A 32-year-old man has been arrested in Worcester for stabbing a man on Chandler Street.

According to officials, a 32-year-old male was detained in Worcester on Thursday in connection with a stabbing on Chandler Street.

On Thursday, police stopped Jose Figueroa-Mendoza near Walgreens on Park Avenue and detained him in connection with a stabbing that occurred earlier in the afternoon, according to officials.

Officers responded to a complaint of a potential stabbing at 205 Chandler St. at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Officers discovered a 27-year-old guy with stab wounds when they arrived, according to authorities. Officers provided medical assistance, and the guy was taken to the hospital via ambulance, according to police.

Figueroa-Mendoza will be presented in court on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife).
