According to the Army, service personnel dismissed during these processes will not receive involuntary separation pay and may be required to repay incentive bonuses or any special compensation earned.
According to Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III, a huge majority of the active-duty military has gotten at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccination since the Pentagon made it obligatory for all service personnel in August.
As of Jan. 26, the Army said commanders had dismissed six regular Army officials, including two battalion commanders, and given 3,073 general officer written reprimands to soldiers who had refused to comply with the vaccine order.
