Brooklyn Center Police Officer Arrested And Being Charged With Second-Degree Manslaughter

Washington County Attorney’s Office will file charges later Wednesday against former Brooklyn Center, Minnesota police officer Kim Potter.
Potter, a 26-year veteran of the Brooklyn Center Police Department resigned on Tuesday, two days after shooting and killing Daunte Wright.
the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said in a statement that Potter was taken into custody late Wednesday morning and will be charged with second-degree manslaughter.
On Monday, Police Chief Tim Gannon who also has resigned from the Brooklyn Center Police Department, said Potter meant to use her Taser but instead grabbed her gun.
